The First Sign of Strength
Jan 27, 2025I was driving to work in Augusta, GA, one morning and I remember being stopped at a stop sign wondering what I had done to deserve all the pain and anxiety in my life. We just moved to Georgia, had our 3rd child a few months ago, my new job involved monthly international travel, and I was sleep deprived from staying up all night caring for our newborn in addition to chronic jet lag. I was lost in my thoughts when a horn behind me snapped me back to reality.
I was more stressed than I had ever been in every aspect of my personal and professional life. I was lost in an ocean of anxiety and for the first time in my life I didn’t see a way out.
So I got help. I hired an executive coach. On my dime, not the company's dime. We didn't have the money, or so we thought, until I came to the conclusion I couldn't live without it.
Help comes in many forms and at times in unexpected places. Sometimes it’s offered, other times you have to seek it out.
Getting help has made all the difference in my life. Getting help is not a sign of weakness, it’s the first sign of strength. 🙏❤️💪👊
